Spokane Housing Ventures (SHV)
is a non-profit Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO),
established in March of 1992 by Northwest Regional
Facilitators, now doing business as Community Frameworks. SHV was created with a two-pronged mission: to preserve
existing and develop new housing for families and
individuals with limited incomes and disabilities and to
help residents access supportive services to achieve
self-sufficiency. While SHV was incorporated as a subsidiary organization, it
is now fully autonomous and governed by its own Board of
Directors. SHV owns and operates 18 housing properties that
provide more than 650 affordable rental units within Spokane
and Lincoln counties in Washington State. SHV develops and
self-manages its properties with an experienced and
committed staff of 35.
 Our rental properties provide a wide range of unit options
and locations that serve families and individuals with
incomes from 0 to 80% of the area median income, with the
majority affordable to people earning less than 50% of area
median. Our mission identifies the priority of treating
applicants and residents as unique individuals with many needs
other than housing. Outreach and referral for supportive
services as needed by residents are coordinated by our staff
and are delivered through a large network of local human
service agencies. |
